Native American Art

The Native American, or American Indian, regards all living things as having a spirit.

Early Euro-American students of Native American cultures compared this belief with the Judeo-Christian soul and concluded that these cultures believed that everything has a soul.

Yet, the nature of animal Spiritism is deeper in its cultural context. Animals, along with weather and other elements of nature, possess particular qualities of knowledge and power.

The myth lore behind the creatures and elements carry a significance into Native American perceptions of their relationship to this world and other lives.

In our modern society, we seem to be searching for an answer. The Native American, through a process of binding time, has always had one.

He needs no specific house of worship since he lives surrounded by Nature, where he finds himself.
